Lloyd’s cricket club was officially formed in 1974 by the late bertie brasier, but one can trace the club’s history all the way back to the very first game against the stock exchange in 1923!

Nowadays LCC plays almost exclusively midweek fixtures: mainly against other City institutions (such as the Stock Exchange CC and Baltic Exchange CC); a couple of the bigger broking houses; various club sides during their cricket weeks; and even occasionally against touring sides.

A welcome recent addition to our fixture list has been the “City Twenty20” competition, which is played annually in the stunning surroundings of the Getty estate at Wormsley. LCC has been very successful at competing in this format and the team retained the ‘Giraffe’ trophy once again last year in fine style. Last season was our best for many season in terms of results overall, with several victories and just a single loss.

We cater for all abilities and the club is always on the lookout for new members to help fulfil its ever-expanding fixture list. Please do not hesitate to get in touch if you are interested in joining our merry band.

The club has embarked on several major tours over the years to the likes of Holland, Hong Kong, Bermuda, South Africa, USA, Singapore & Malaysia, and most recently to Argentina and Brazil. February 2017 will see LCC revisit South Africa 20 years after our previous visit.
